Diwali Dinner, Jaap, Bhavna & Dandiya
We will celebrate Diwali on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 starting at 4:30 p.m. at our Jain Center. We will have Diwali dinner at 4:30 p.m. followed by Diwali Photo Booth, Jaap, Bhavna, and Dandiya.
If you are planning to attend this special dinner and participate in the celebrations, please submit your RSVP below by midnight Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 (no exceptions). Also, please let us know, via the RSVP form below, if you are planning to bring any Diwali related food items (example: sweets, farshan, sides, desert, etc.) to share with other Sangh members, so we can plan the food preparations accordingly.

Diwali Nirvan Ladoo Pooja
Please join us on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at 7 a.m. sharp at our Jain Center for Abhishek, Dev Shastra Guru Pooja, and Mahavir Bhagwan Nirvan Ladoo Pooja.
We welcome you to join us for a Diwali breakfast following the pooja. If you are planning to attend this special breakfast an participate in the pooja, please contact Meeta Sogani (email) or Meenal Zaveri (Phone: 713-320-6155 or email).
All festivities are expected to be wrapped up before Pathshala begins at 9:15 a.m.
Pathshala Diwali 2016 Diya Contest
Our Pathshala PTA is excited to announce its very first event of this pathshala year – “Diwali Diya Contest.” This event is scheduled on Sunday, October 30th, 2016, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Pathshala venue. While participation in this contest is restricted to Pathshala children, we encourage you to visit Cloverly Elementary School (where our Pathshala currently meets) and support our children by cheering them up during the contest.
The general guidelines/rules for contestants have been communicated via Pathshala newsletter. If you have not received this newsletter, or should you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Megha Doshi, Director of Education, via email or call her at 703-200-3080.

You are invited to a special lunch sponsored by our Pathshala parents (names will be included in the reminder email). This lunch will be served on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at Cloverly Elementary School (where our Pathshala currently meets) starting at 12:30 p.m. and onwards.

Nav Smaran
On Monday, October 31st, 2016, we will have Nav Smaran Vanchan followed by Aarti & Mangal Divo at 8:30 p.m. at our Jain Center. Nav Smaran is the reciting of Stotras in the memory of Bhagwan Mahavir’s Nirvan, a state when a soul gets liberated after shedding all eight types of Karma particles.
